Project role

Skanska, one of the UK’s leading construction companies, is providing one of the operating construction sites on which the converted plant will be demonstrated, construction-specific technical support to the Element 1 project as well as disseminating the learnings and knowledge from the project across the wider construction industry.

Live construction sites have their own unique procedures and challenges around health and safety, logistics and risk management, and Skanska has brought together it’s subject-matter experts for this project to support Element 1 in delivering practical and workable solutions for UK construction sites.

Skanska’s broad experience in the UK construction industry means that we are perfectly placed to share the learnings from Element 1 with clients, other construction companies and our supply chain, helping to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen in the industry and decarbonise construction activities.
